Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 7

Adam’s eyes turned cold suddenly, and his whole body was full of hostility. “What’s your relationship?”

The man suddenly stood upright and hugged the woman into his arms. “Does it have anything to do with you? Don’t

harass us in the future, or I will make you regret it.”

After speaking, the man slammed the door shut.

Adam looked at the closed door. Thinking of what they did in the room and the intimacy of the man hugging the

woman, a strong sense of nausea surged into his heart.

He didn’t see it before, so he could find excuses for her and deceive himself.

Now he saw it with his own eyes. Even if he didn’t want to believe it, he had to admit the fact that his wife slept with

another man, and he was cuckolded.

Adam turned around, threw the roses into the trash can, and walked into the elevator without looking back.

Harry saw Adam leaving through the peephole and patted his chest with lingering fear, “Ruby, do you know this

scary man?”

Ruby shook his head violently and murmured, “He looks so scary! That’s awful!”

“Damn. Worm should be home right now…” The two rushed out of the door together, and another elevator had just

opened.

Lumma carried the gifts she had bought for them and the salad dressing she had just bought.

Seeing them panicking, she asked, “What are you doing?”

Harry pulled Lumma over and looked at her carefully. After confirming she was fine, Harry was relieved. “Did you

meet any strange people?”

Lumma was puzzled. “No. What’s the matter?”

Harry pulled her into the door. He closed the door and looked through the peephole. He said, “A man knocked on

our door just now. He should cast a spell on me. I told him everything when he asked me. Luckily, I reacted in time

and drove him away.”

Ruby nodded violently. “Right. That man looked at me as if he was going to chew me alive. He’s so scary! Luckily,

Harry reacted quickly.”

After hearing what they said, Lumma hugged Ruby and said, “Our community has a lot of people. I heard there was

a theft case a few days ago. We should be careful in the future.”

Harry took out his phone and said, “I will buy a monitoring camera immediately. If you get off work late, call me in

advance. I will pick you up downstairs.”

Lumma nodded. “Okay.”

Ruby sighed beside her. “Alas. What a pity. He’s so handsome!”

Lumma and Harry said at the same time, “Don’t be fooled by men’s appearance.”

Ruby said, “But he is really good-looking.”

Lumma and Harry didn’t say anything more.

Adam got back in the car and told the driver to drive to Harrison Manor.

After driving for more than two hours, it was late when the car arrived at Harrison Manor, but the villa was still

brightly lit.

Before Adam got out of the car, he saw the faltering figure in the yard.

Seeing his car enter the yard, Catherine was so excited. She shook off the butler who was supporting her and

walked towards Adam.

Adam hurriedly got out of the car and stepped forward to support Catherine. “Grandma…”

“Adam, where’s Lumma?” Catherine looked into the car behind him, but she didn’t see the person she wanted to

see. Her bright eyes dimmed instantly. “Since you didn’t bring her here, why are you here?”

“Grandma, I’m here to talk with you about her and me.” Adam helped Catherine into the house and asked the

butler to leave.

Catherine felt something bad had happened and felt a little uneasy. “Is Lumma angry with you and unwilling to see

you? How about I call her and explain for you?”

Adam hooked his sexy thin lips with a bit of coldness. “She’s dating another man.”

“What? What nonsense are you talking about?” Catherine was so angry. She grabbed a pillow on the sofa and threw

it at Adam. “Lumma is not that kind of person. She will never do that thing. Don’t ruin her reputation.”

Adam sneered, “I saw it with my own eyes. How could it be fake?”

Catherine was startled. “Adam, is there any misunderstanding between it? Do you want me to call and ask her?”

Adam said in a deep voice, “I called her the day I returned, and I heard a man’s voice next to her. I lied to myself

that it might be a misunderstanding. I went to her home to pick her up today and saw her hugging that man. Do

you think it’s still a misunderstanding?”

No one could accept a partner cheating, let alone Adam.

Even if he and Lumma didn’t marry because of love, Catherine knew Adam must be angry.

Catherine closed her eyes. When she opened them again, she had hidden her emotions. “What are you going to do

now?”

Adam said calmly, “Divorce.”

Catherine didn’t want their marriage to end up in divorce. But Lumma had someone she liked. She wouldn’t live

with Adam for long, even if they were married.

Catherine added, “Adam, I know you are very angry, but I hope you can think about it in Lumma’s position. She

married a man she had only met once, and her husband disappeared after getting married. She has no feelings for

you, so there is nothing wrong with meeting the right person during this period.”

Adam raised his eyebrows. “So?”

Catherine said, “How about we wait for her to propose a divorce and protect the reputation for each other?”

“Reputation?” Adam took off his silver-frame glasses and wiped it. He said with a faint smile, “Grandma, if it wasn’t

for your sake, I would have made them disappear from Red Pine City. Now you even want me to show respect to

them? Did she ever think about showing me any respect when she was having sex with another man?”

Catherine sighed, “I saw Lumma several times before you got married. She is a very good girl. I thought you would

be happy together, so I let you marry before. It’s my fault. I shouldn’t force you to get married. Otherwise, it would

not lead to today’s situation.”

Catherine used to be a tough woman in the business world. She had experienced countless ups and downs but still

maintained calm no matter how powerful her opponent was. Now she was apologizing to a junior because of a

strange girl.

Adam felt distressed when he saw. The anger that he tried to suppress surged up in his mind again. “Grandma, no

one can force me, and no one can betray me.”

He had lived for more than twenty years without meeting a girl he liked and he had never thought about who he

would fall in love with in the future. As Catherine wanted Adam to marry, and he felt it was the same as marrying

anyone, he agreed to marry Lumma.

This marriage was not made of love. But from the moment he decided to get married, he prepared to be with that

girl for the rest of his life and never thought of betraying her.

But what about her?

Adam had never expected that when he came to pick her up with a car of gifts, what greeted him would be the

picture of her living with another man.

Catherine knew Adam very well, so she put the blame on herself to protect Lumma. “Adam, I swore to Lumma’s

grandma that you would treat Lumma well. She agreed because she trusted me. I don’t want to lose this old friend.

Do me this favor again, and I will never interfere with your life whether you marry or not.”

Adam couldn’t bear to see Catherine being so humble in front of him, so he could only nod in agreement. “Alright.

I’ll save her the last dignity.”

Before Catherine breathed a sigh of relief, Adam called his private lawyer. “Prepare a divorce agreement for me.”
